On Monday we had a visit from a group of Community Leadership Students from the University of Lancashire.
They were all very impressed by the work being done in Castlemilk and were very interested in the work done at The Complex. As you may know, the Youth Complex is the largest youth-led arts facility in Europe, and we get visitors from all over coming to the Complex to find out more about what we do and how it all started.
The visit consisted of a tour around the building and a Q&A session with some of our staff. They were interested in gang culture and the role that drugs and alcohol play within a community like Glasgow.
Hopefully, we’ll be able to work on a visit to see what kind of youth work is happening down in Lancashire and see how the issues for young people differ between the 2 countries.
We look forward to seeing them again 🙂
