It was also the week of the Chinese New Year which seen young people participate in Chinese cooking workshops in our drop-in kitchen with Darren. All the food was eaten and the 5 chefs learned how to make some new dishes.

Tuesday and Saturday seen our new film club set up in the drop in. The seniors opted for a horror movie on Tuesday evening while the young people on Saturday watched a comedy. Looking forward to future film nights.

Our drum lessons on Wednesday went down well and all our budding musicians are getting better and better with every week. This weeks challenge is to play along with a song. We’ll let you know how they get on. There was alos great participation in Art workshops and cooking “Turkish Breakfast” with John.

Thursday night programme included a creative writing workshop which seen young people writing ‘daft poetry’. Hopefully we’ll get some of them up on the wall.

Friday’s Glee Club is picking up with young people starting to feel more confident about singing and dancing. We’re looking forward to seeing some performances in the near future. Queen’s Park coaches were in for football which was well attended. Young people participated in some skills games and coaching.
